You’d think it was a quiet six weeks, since Daddy hasn’t posted anything, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
You’ve been a joyous handful these past few weeks, learning new words, expressing your sense of humor and generally being the amazing kid your parents expected.
Since Daddy went to London again, he asked what you wanted him to bring back. Your response? “Union Jack” and “Delta Pretzels”. You got a Union Jack pillow with a Yeoman Bear on it (since Mommy’s last name is Yeoman) and you loved your Delta pretzels.
You’ve also shown Mommy how a puppy eats, by putting your face into your food. While eating chili one evening, you even decided to show us your best “dog with a bone” face.

Most of the month was bitter cold, so much of our outdoor entertainment involved going to Mall of America to walk around. You did get to try sitting at the counter of a sushi restaurant (though you only ate tofu and beans), but you really enjoyed it.

You and Mommy went to Toddler Tuesdays there a couple of times and you continue to go to swim class, where this month you graduated to the next class. Way to scoop and kick! You’ve also started another music class where you’ve played the the triangle, rhythm sticks, the metallophone and the Irish harp. Mommy says the harp was your favorite so far.
On Sunday’s, Daddy has been taking you to Gigi’s where you love to color and eat fruit.

You also went with Mommy to eat at the Hard Times Café, which has a lot of vegan food (and vegan diners). When Daddy playfully asked her if she saw any “dirty hippies”, you picked up on the word and spent the rest of the day (and lots of this month) using that line to get a laugh. When we told you “Dirty hippies just need a bath”, you decided they needed something else, evidenced in this video clip:
Valentine’s Day was a big win, with you receiving cards from Mommy, Daddy and both sets of grandparents. You asked Daddy to get Mommy a “heart”, so we bought her a beautiful glass heart that she promises to hang in the kitchen of our first house.
This weekend we went to the Home and Patio show at the River Center in St. Paul. You wanted to go see the butterfly tent, because we’d seen it on the news. And see butterflies you did! You told us your favorite was the “oranges” one. And you even had some land on you. You also saw koi fish in a pond and was fascinated by them.

It’s almost too hard to keep up with what new things you say, since you say new things daily. Some things to know however:
- Your favorite server at GiGi’s Café is Jamie and we suspect you have a crush on her.
- You have gotten into the really bad habit at bath time of laughing, saying “pee pee boy!” followed by peeing in the tub.
- You color like crazy and have started making scribbles, pretending to write. You also ask us to write EVERYTHING.
- When you see a word (in a book, on a sign, wherever) you call out almost every letter.
- Flip cards are your favorite new things. Mommy bought some kindergarden level words to get you started (map, cap, nap for example) and you are tearing through them.
- Your temper tantrums are there, but not as bad as other two year olds we’ve seen. And mostly only when you’re tired.
- You still love watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Color Crew, Super Why, Wonder Pets, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Elmo’s Potty Time (which, seriously, you must have seen about fifty times already).
- You love watching YouTube clips of PSY singing Gangnam Style & the old internet meme Peanut Butter Jelly Time (apologies from Daddy).
You’re growing up so fast, but you ARE keeping us laughing the whole way.
